Peer review
The review process
Internal review process: All submitted articles are first subject to an internal review process. The Editor-in-Chief makes an initial decision on whether to send the manuscript for external review or to reject it without external review. Articles may be rejected at this stage for various reasons, such as: similarity to other published articles (articles will be checked using anti-plagiarism software: plagiarism-detector.com); the topic does not fall within the scope of the journal; failure to comply with academic standards.
External review process: Articles accepted after the internal review process are sent to the editor to identify potential external reviewers, other than those mentioned above, based on their expertise in the field, rigor and scientific methodology. The minimum condition is that the reviewers do not come from the same institution as the authors. External reviewers complete an evaluation form, such as the one attached. This will be sent by the editor to the author, anonymized. Following the external review, the editor informs the authors of the acceptance without changes, changes made or rejection of the proposed contribution. A period of 14 days is given to re-write the study, if applicable. The changes are monitored by the editor. Finally, the editorial board is informed of the final status of the external review.
